Type B pintles consist of a long rod inserted into a curled 2" high x 4" wide butt plate which is mortised into the door frame in a half surface position. This removes the plate from view and adds considerable strength. The pin is 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" high to fit our pintle straps.
